Got me new Treo 600... but I gotta let it charge up and then activate it at 6pm. *sigh*. I can still use the PDA functions though, its pretty darn kewl The camera is funny too... I'll post some pictures using it

I just got a new one yesterday myself...some kinda Qualcomm something or other, I dunno. It was free (a $297 value) and did not require renewing my contract, because Verizon has been screwing me over with crappy service for years, and I finally got a GOOD customer service manager.

I think I like it so far, other than the fact that it's the size of a pack of gum.

Yeah I do have a job, I work from home (designing websites). I get an allowance from my parents though, till I get a consistant income (which won't be till this time next year I estimate). Plus this phone was only £50 cause I'm on contract (woo!).

Its going good so far. I would rather like to copy my old contacts from my old SIM card onto the new one, but sounds like I'm going to have to do that manually unless any of you could tell me where to find out how to do such a thing. (*hint hint*)

 

i wish i got a new phone... maybe the nokia 6600 or the SE P900... oh well. congrats with your treo, goldy.

 

i HATE my cell phone!!! bloody useless piece of s***. I've had it for two years now, and i don't think I've ever managed to talk to anyone on it !! always 'can you hear me now', run out of battery, run out of minutes, left it in the other pocket,(either me or the person I'm trying to call), mountain in the way, 'atmospherics', or a dozen other reasons why the damm thing don't/wont work. and they give you brain cancer (or so i heard somewhere). this is the worst place in the world for 'communications' of any sort. and probably the most expensive. rant rant rant. (aloha)

 

Heh, well, its a disadvantage being that, err, remote! And there's probably some law against putting a massive great antenna on top of one of them mountains (couldnt think why ).

But you're on the internet, which is a good thing!

anyway, i have a 270, and have found the forums at treocentral.com to be very helpfull for new treo users. might want to check it out.

we house some of the biggest telescopes in the world on top of that very mountain. those scopes discover new galaxies for the world to see. send and receive light and waves of various sorts pinging off the vastness of the night sky. dishes of mirrored glass half the size of a football field pick up the minisculest molecules of light and reflections. enormous housings that move the scopes laboriously across the sky. at sea level they look like large, shiny zits on the top of mauna kea. so what was that about the aerial again? lol aloha

 

Aerials look more ugly than telescopes, i assure you. I have one on top of my school
