Hi All and happy new year,
Can anyone tell me what happens to an e-mail you send, if the server for the domain you are sending it to is down?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Your SMTP server will usually return an NDR indicating that it could not connect to the recipients domain.

Yeah, some mailservers can be configured to be silent/non-verbose.

    What are you using?
