I recently ran chkdsk and it said the volume was locked and that I could schedule a chkdsk /f for the next boot. Somehow the command got corrupted and now every time I boot or reboot I get the following message: "windows could not verify the file system on /??/C:" And then the system continues and boots normally. Can anyone help me to remove that chkdsk request that is now a permanent error when I boot?

Thanks! That was what I needed to know.
