    hello,
I began having problems about three weeks ago after saving web pages to view off line. Each webpage was saved as .html and .mht files.

Now first, I have pop ups that say to call such and such phone number to remove viruses. I have screen shots of them if it will help.

Second, I also get pop ups to update acrobat reader and other programs.

And the third, is my internet explorer browser is also frozen by ENJOY COUPON ads which also appears in i e manage add ons as enabled but unavailable.

I have run the recommended Majorgeek scans for windows 7 RogueKiller.,

    malwarebytes, TDSKILLER, HitmanPro, MGtools.

Hello, If you get this message before you bother reading these logs, I would like to let you know that prior to running these scans I ran mini tool box from bleeping computer though I am not a member there. And I also ran combofix. The scans enclosed were run afterwards. I also have no antivirus installed as MSE has become non updatetable and will not uninstall.

I really like Majorgeeks as I was able to repair two other computers with relevant knowledge and a vundo infections. I was not a member then and I am new to using this site as a full member thank you for your patience with me in advance.

Not sure of what logs uploaded yet I will try to check threads. My mbam log was xml I will search for the other version.

    Thank you Rush2Done

What makes you think you have ransomware?

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following (re-enable when you are finished):

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    • O2 - BHO: FunDeAls - {14183478-a06f-4534-b366-955018133f3a} - C:\Program Files (x86)\FunDeAls\0Smbp1NQqKEr2J.dll (file missing)
    • O2 - BHO: FiindBestDeeal - {5c303252-4092-4b10-ba42-75585be55b79} - C:\Program Files (x86)\FiindBestDeeal\3ZSs3NvLaKGyAI.dll (file missing)
    • O2 - BHO: EnjoyCuoUpaoN - {80f822aa-0f56-49bb-a80f-0898d685d2f5} - C:\Program Files (x86)\EnjoyCuoUpaoN\NPs6tfkrbvi2Qh.dll
    • O2 - BHO: RooboSaver - {b1604b99-d962-4b92-84b9-dbd37c422e19} - C:\Program Files (x86)\RooboSaver\JKBYTte8WABT10.dll (file missing)

    After clicking Fix exit HJT.

    Download and run OTM.

Download OTM by Old Timer and save it to your Desktop.

    • Run OTM.exe by double clicking on it (Note: if using Vista, Win7 or Win8, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator).
    • Paste the following code under the [IMG] area. Do not include the word Code.
    Code:
    :Files
    c:\program files (x86)\SaveNeewaApapz
    c:\program files (x86)\DeaaLExpreuss
    c:\program files (x86)\ExxstruaSAvIINgse
    C:\Program Files (x86)\EnjoyCuoUpaoN
    C:\Program Files (x86)\FiindBestDeeal
    C:\Program Files (x86)\FunDeAls
    C:\Program Files (x86)\RooboSaver
    C:\ProgramData\7851077877287862271
    C:\ProgramData\{9d784de1-515a-74ed-9d78-84de15153785}
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ExsstrraCouupon
    C:\Program Files (x86)\ExxstruaSAvIINgse
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SaveNeewaApapz
    C:\Program Files (x86)\TampaFoobar
    :Commands
    [emptytemp]
    [Reboot]
    • Return to OTM, right click in the Paste List of Files/Folders to Move window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
    • Push the large [IMG] button.
    • OTM may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar), and paste it into a text file to ATTACH into your next reply.

NOTE: If you are unable to copy/paste from this window (as will be the case if the machine was rebooted), open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTM\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and attach the contents of that document back here in your next post.

[IMG] Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Seven, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    • Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.
    • Let me know of any problems you may have encountered with the above instructions and also let me know how things are running!

I will run the scans and post as shortly. The reason I think I have ransom ware is because my browser redirects to various new sites in new tabs and freezes with the warning that I have enclosed titled "Is this ransom ware"

The logs you requested will follow in my next post.

    Thank you,

    Rush2Done

Sorry Rush2Done... life took me away from my computer for a couple days. Back now and reviewing the logs, will make a response real soon. :)
No they just want you to phone them so they can gain access to your machine and do goodness knows what AND you have to pay for the pleasure. Ignore the messages, we will make them go away. ;) Ransomware is when they have actually encrypted your files so you can no longer access them.... they claim to unlock them for you if you pay....

Which browser(s) are you experiencing pop up's in? (The one you attached)

Before we continue I would like for you to use MSConfig to put this machine back into normal start up mode. Any other mode is primarily used for troubleshooting and diagnostic purposes. You should look into some third party software to control start up's.

Now do this...Run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. (Right click and run as admin if using Vista, Windows7 or Win8) Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this.

    Try this

    Simple Adblock

Install it and surf around using IE. Let me know if you still see pop ups...

    Dear Kestrel13,

I am running ad block and am pleased to report that surfing has become much smoother. Thanks for that.

I am just concerned that I still see Enjoy Cuopons in ie manage add ons as "enabled"
It is in the "Unavailable" or greyed out does this make its presence there acceptable?

    Thank you,

    Hello Kestel13!,

Sorry I haven't been able to update you for a few days, I was snowed in!

I have reset my ie browser but I still see things in manage add ons that look suspicious:

In the Not Available category is this case correct spelling "Enjoy CuoUpaoN" it is enabled 64bit.

And the other name in the Not Available category is "Blog this in Windows Live Writter " disabled 32bit.

Your recent advice has been spot on and will be acknowledged!!!.

    Thank you,

    Rush2Done

    • Now click the [IMG] button.
    • One report will be created:
      • OTL.txt <-- Will be opened

We need to run an OTL Fix

    • Right-click OTL.exe to run it. If Windows UAC prompts you, please allow it.
    • Copy and Paste the following code into the textbox. Do not include the word Code

    Code:
    :otl
    O2:[b]64bit:[/b] - BHO: (EnjoyCuoUpaoN) - {80f822aa-0f56-49bb-a80f-0898d685d2f5} - C:\Program Files (x86)\EnjoyCuoUpaoN\NPs6tfkrbvi2Qh.x64.dll File not found

    :commands
    [EMPTYTEMP]
    [RESETHOSTS]
    [REBOOT]
    • Then click the Run Fix button at the top.
    • OTL may ask to reboot the machine. Please do so if asked.
    • The report should appear in Notepad after the reboot. ATTACH that report in your next reply.

    Does this folder exist?
    C:\Program Files (x86)\EnjoyCuoUpaoN

And is the problem still there?

You are most welcome. Glad to hear all is running nicely again. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove them, you can delete these files now.
    3. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    5. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Thanks Kestrel13!,

    Two problems
1.Perhaps I did not fully understand the Read Me First. I do not see "defogger" but I have a Volume Shadow Copy has been running is this a problem?

    2. There are two java helpers in tools and extensions seem to cause pop ups to update Java I have reinstalled and updated java but these "java alerts" still freeze my ie browser. I can disable them but I would like to remove them because they seem bogus.

Don't worry about it if you do not have it installed. ;)
    No.

can you not just simply remove them> Or is that the issue? You're having difficulty removing them?
