Well basically what i want is a micro sd card of at least 4 gb.

I cannot seem to find any and it seems the max i have been able to find is 2 gb. Maybe they never made 4 gb micro sd cards?

Please do not confused micro SDHC, with micro sd ( what i want).

Why would i want an outdated micro card? Well the device i want to use it only reads micro sd cards and not micro sdhc cards.

Are there even micro sd cards bigger than 2 gb available ( NOT SDHC)?

I understand that those are no longer produced, as you said, you can find only 2Gb. I had to keep using my device with a copy of the card (2Gb) because for the upgrade I needed to use a 4Gb, but I found out that the device should be wired in a different way to be able to read the 4Gb card. So I upgraded to a newer device.

I ran into the same problem looking for a simple sd card for an old camera. The camera will only accept up to 128 MB cards. I couldn't find any that small!

Look at places that sell left overs. You might be able to find one.

    I found this from 2008
And also a post that Kingston never sold a 4GB sd card. So what you are looking for might have been very temporary 4 years ago and not shipped by a lot of manufacturers.

No help for the OP, Goldenskull.
    Both links are for SDHC.

No they are not, Goldenskull. Look further and anything that says sd will say sdhc either further in the description or the review for a card that is 4GB.

Yes, anything above 2 gb for plain sd micro cards seems to be extremely rare if there is any at all.

Where would you guys advise i look for them? All major online retailers don't have them , and it makes sense no one wants outdated slower cards when they can buy ones ones for pretty cheap now.

I really hope if there are some that they are not twice the price or a faster and up to date one.

I really though sandisk did make some but i can't find any. The only Brands of memory i have every bought are : sandisk, sony, and kingston so hopefully if there is any from them ( that i am looking for ) i can buy some ( which i doubt).

The HC stands for High Capacity. Yes, you will no longer find anything without the HC. All it is there for, is marketing, due to the human species seems to think that they are getting a better deal, if the card has a HC on it. And yes, every device has limits, and the manufacturer will set those limits.

There's also a pinout difference on the SD versus SDHC card. I don't believe there is a difference on the Micro though.
