Go to Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs

Give me a list of everything that is listed there then I might be able to help you.

    What kind of changes?

If it's serious changes (OS level, not just things in IE, for example) then you might try turning off the System Restore Point, doing whatever changes you want made, then turning the System Restore Point back on.

Dunno, really... Need more details... :)

This is a Startup Program checker it will let you know every program that starts up and this info will be useful to me :)

Don't be afraid to ask any questions.

I tried the isw.exe program but the computer erased it on start up....cant figure it out its as if the system restore is set to stay the same regardless of creating a new restore point

The problem is you have installed the program Deep Freeze and I need to know what version you are running.

Are you running any of the following versions?
    Standard, Professional, Enterprise, Server

If you know which one great.

Oh by the way is this your own personal computer?

    On your keyboard press
    CTL+ALT+SHIFT+F6
If you have no password set just click ok
Under the tab Boot Control tell it to "Boot Thawed"

Let me know if you have any problems.

Go to Start, All Programs, and look for a folder named Faronics, let me know whether or not its there.

Interesting software. It seems to be working as described by Faronics.ie. Reboot to undo any changes.Low memory usage(2mb) as well.I just tried out their standard version after reading this thread.
    Good job squeaner ;)

First of all we would like to know who owns the computer.Has your system administrator installed deep freeze? It is hard to beleive that it is your computer if you dont know what program is installed on it and what the password is.There is no way to disable deep freeze from windows, if you dont have the password you cant thaw the disk and you cant uninstall it.The only way is to boot using a bootdisk and delete some drivers. But if you delete the wrong drivers your system will become unbootable.

Maybe you can generate a one time password from the deep freeze administrator manager by feeding in the id that is displayed in the input password screen.

listen the faronic folder is in C:\Program Files\Faronics but doesnt show up in my programs list on the start taskbar. The administrator is me and the password I cant remember, Thats why im posting a thread if I knew the password I would have thawed the system but thats my problem....NO PASSWORD...the computer is mine the system was built by me and the programs on my computer were installed by me....

I am not sure the exact way for the professional version.I think if you have the program manager, there is a tab called one time password generator. You will also find a number on the password box that comes up when you press the combination ctrl+alt+shft+F6 write this number and feed it into the administative manager of faronics, the password should be generated.

What did you do?hack it?I think the best way will be to follow faronics advice.

No I have the actual file for install the program, and from the command line you type that name of the program and /BOOTTHAWED which will cause the computer to restart and Deep Freeze will be in a thawed mode. Then you double click that file and you should be able to uninstall it.

    The password is still required.
From what I have looked up the syntax is DFC password /BOOTTHAWED
The professional version has a one time password generator,I think it is quite possible that one can install without a password. The password may actualy have to be made before the installer is build.Since our user did not use a password the OTP is what he/she has to use.And that is how faronics made the program.

No it does not require the password.

I tested it with the Enterprise Edition Software with also has the One Time Password too.
