    Hello,

I've been lurking and searching here off and on for a little while - I've gotta say this place is great! Brief intro, then I'll get to my problem. I recently built a PC from a junkpile of parts; with no prior knowledge of how things worked. It was interesting, frustrating at times, but overall a great experience. I got a little smarter, and my box is up and running well(for the most part). I found this site while searching for drivers and finally now I've posted something. It's a question, but hopefully I'll be able to contribute solutions as time goes by. Anyway, my problem:

I downloaded the free version of Deep Burner and when I try to burn a CD, I get the same error every time. -> WRITER ERROR[MEDIUM ERROR(POWER CALIBRATION AREA IS FULL)]

I'm not sure what to do. Typically, it gets between 2% and 33% done before erroring out. I've posted this on the Deep Burner support forum, but thus far the only person who has looked at it is me. My specs are:

I know, it's pretty outdated, but all these parts are what I could get my hands on and I'm poor :( I can post more specs if needed, but I thought this was probably overkill as it is. SO, is there anything I can do to correct my problem?

    Thanks in advance!

This could be mismatch between the cd drive and the media, Maybe try some different brands of CD's.
This could also be failing CD writer.

Look at the rated speed of the disk you are using with the speed of the cd burner. Maybe slow it down a bit.
