I got a virus. lsm2.sys sv2.exe sv3.exe a Virut virus?

    Formated HDD reinstalled windows but it still came back, i got 2 or 3 HDDs infected now, I mustve reinfected by reinstalling drivers from infected HDD's. How can i fix this? Should I buy a new HDD and get all drivers from the internet?

    i was able to format HDD and install windows on it with drivers from the net. So far the virus is not back. But one of the HDD is still infected, how careful should be using this infected HDD? I deleted Windows from it and all the infected files, but MBAM hasnt found any infected files that are outside Windows directory. IF any other files are still infected on it will i get infected by simply pluging it with usb to my laptop or will i have to open an infected .exe file to be infected?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
    Since you never ran our cleaning procedure and to give us the required logs, we do not know the extent of your infection nor do we know if you really had a Virut infection. If you did have a Virut infection, it is not just EXE files. It can be any file that is considered and executable like .com. msi, .pdf, .avi.....etc that could be infected. All it takes is re-execution of any single file infected with Virut and you will reinfect your system. Malwarebytes will not detect Virut infections and most antivirus programs do not properly protect against, locate or remove the current forms of Virut. The newer forms of Virut actually contain a bug which makes them impossible to properly remove. Total clean reinstall is required.
