Windows updates

    Hi there,
    Thanks for reading. Hope this isn't repeating (Seach feature was telling me page couldn't be displayed).

    I have a coworker who insists that when applying Windows updates on a new re-install of W2k Pro, you should begin with the recommended update of DirectX before applying any critical updates. This makes no sense to me.

    Any thoughts on this?

    you should update directx b4 updating your video card drivers.
