Question Please

    I ran my computer for a long time without virus protection nor a firewall. I know, stupid but I am learning. I recently downloaded AVG and have Norton antivirus. I also am running Zone Alarm Firewall.<=== Dont know if thats the best to get or not. Seems to work okay I guess. I have CCleaner, CWSShredder and whole passel of others I got from yalls site. By the Way thanks. Now to my question finally. AVG and Norton have several virus' in the vault and I cant seem to get them repaired. Should I leave them there or delete them? If I delete them does that mean I am deleting the file or the virus? I told you I am trying to learn. If I post my Hijackthis log here would yall analyze it for me? Appreciate any help I can get. Computer is running decent but it takes awhile for it to boot and some programs cause computer to freeze.

    First you should not be using more than one antivirus program. Pick the one you want and uninstall the other. One of the reasons for only wanting one is the problem you are having with them seeing the others virus vault.

    We do not analyze HijackThis logs until our full cleaning procedure is run (see the READ ME FIRST sticky thread) and then we will ask for a log if we feel it is necessary afterwards. Read the stickies.

    Oops as much as I read the forums and replies, I should have done that. Sorry. Will read and do as sticky says and will get back to ya if it doesnt work. As for the 2 different AV's. Do you suggest AVG or Norton? Is one rated higher than the other?

    Did you pay for Norton and do you get the updates? Do you like? If answered, yes to all three then you should probably keep it unless it appears to be slowing your system down too much.

    Most people here would use Avast and AVG over Norton or McAfee.
