Laptop not turning on

    Dell Latitude D600 laptop.
    It was working ok last night.
    Pressed the 'On' button today and the green lights come on for about 3 seconds then turn off.
    The fan doesn't start, the hdd doesn't spin up - nothing.
    I've tried just running on battery (which is fully charged), tried running on mains with the battery fitted and tried running on mains without the battery.

    Suggestions please!!

    Thanks for looking that up but I think it may be a motherboard issue - the laptop won't even start to boot wether on battery or mains power :(

    CMOS on laptop

    Had a chat with a laptop specialist and worked down to it may be the CMOS that could be the problem and that he could reset it for about £130 :rolleyes:
    Has anyone any knowledge on this procedure?
