some sites work some done

heya

for a few days now i am unable to get some website going on my spare machine (p3 733, 32Mb nvidia, 20g hdd, win xp). Its currently on a network through 100mbit network cards with my main machine (p4 2.4, gf4400, 120g hdd, win xp). Even when all firewalls are turned off it still plays around.

The reason I say "plays" is cuz it allows some pages to load eg. google, gamespot, etc. But not pages like hotmail, windows, etc. Internet is definitely there cuz i can search for images through google no prob, and browse through various pages at gamespot where ive never been before. Network is of course present cuz i can access files on my main pc.

I have recently done a anti-virus tutorial u kindly provided. Im guessing its since that it has been playing up.

any ideas?
