I want to try out this new (to me) XP Version...its a little customized...but this error comes up after. I created the iso and just ran the cd and tried the compatibility test before doing any formating..."The option to upgrade will not be available at this time because Setup was unable to load the file" D:\i386\WINNTUPG\NETUPGRD.DLL.
Im doing a fresh install after a clean format, not an upgrade. Will the file execute after a fresh install and not just upgrading it??

Welcome aboard! Don't waste your time on these pirate versions as at best it'll be clean and at worst have nasty stuff on there, besides not working either. Reformat again and install your trusty MS genuine operating system.;) Folks here won't help you with getting that working.

    I smell a moderator coming online.;):-D

My Buddy is a Programmer...He wants me to try it out...i haven't even install it yet...i just did a compatibility test. He said hes taken skins from new version and swinged colors around...i have a bought version of Both HOME AND PRO...so couldnt i just use my own PRO serial for it??

You could use your pro version serial number, but not if it is already installed on another computer.
If you are just doing this for the Halibut, wanting to see if it works, that's one thing, but keeping it installed would be a whole different situation.

You could, but your friend ain't much of a programmer IMO. This has all been done ad nauseum for the last 10 years. Leave it be.;)

As has been noted, any version of Windows that is not a genuine Purchased copy is illegal.
