So I downloaded the demo of Pharaoh (I know, old game) and I tried running it, but it gave me little message about 16-bit something or other. Word-for-word, it said...

    16 bit Windows Subsystem
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

    Any help is appreciated.

Check if you have the files autoexec.nt in your folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT if not goto c:\windows\repair you have one there and copy it to your system32 this should fix your problem...
