removing aawsepersonal.exe from desktop

    i downloaded ad-aware se personal software unto my desktop and installed it later on but found the application file aawsepersonal.exe still on the desktop. i tried removing it but the error message said that it is being used by another program. how do i remove this file?

    It could be locked, try removing it from safe mode or right after a reboot.

    tried erasing it from reboot but no can do but will try doing it in safe mode...yep that's what i got from others, possibly locked but no help on how to remove same...i tried to download ad-aware again just so it might overwrite the file but it came up as aawsepersonal(2).exe so the old download application file still existed...bummer really!

    Try one of the following

    1. Pocket Killbox
    2. MoveOnBoot this one, once you dragNdrop the file or browse for its location, deletes the file on reboot, so any applications that have locked the file are not running so cannot lock it before deletion.. my fav!
    3. Unlocker
