Removeable SATA drive?

The taskbar shows my internal SATA drive as a removeable media.
    I am running XP (SP2) in a system with a Sempron 3400 on a Biostar T6100 (Nvidia6100/410).
Is there a way to get my system not to see it as removeable media?

I think that is normal. Mine does that. In theory you can hotswap a SATA drive on some motherboards if it is not your boot drive. I Don't have the nerve to try it, goes against common since to unplug stuff while the 'puter is on.

I think it's normal too (on some systems). My 160gb SATA also shows up as a removal drive, but it doesn't seem to effect performance or stability or anything, so I don't worry about it. It depends on the mobo I guess; I've worked on PC's where the SATA's are not seen as removable; it seems to be individual per mobo (didn't I just say that? ;) )
