Ok I have a laptop and a pc both running xp home sp2. I have a linksys wireless router which the pc is connected to.The laptop is using a linksys card. Tried to setup home networking on both machines and here are my results. Laptop cannot ping the pc but the pc can ping the laptop. Anyone have an idea??? besides using XP Pro.
    Thanks for your help.

    Might be firewall settings.

    Hey mpc458

This can be a result of several cases.
Check your lan settings in your laptop. is it set to obtain ip address
    automaticlly?
Check if there are no firewall settings that prevent the communication.
Check if the card software on the laptop is getting a signal from the router.
Check if the router DHCP server is switch on, other wise the laptop won't get an ip address.

    Good Luck
