    Yeah, this seems like a "rookie" question....but nether the less,

    If I have javascript image preloader, such as the following...

    Image1= new Image(175,50)
    Image1.src = "image1.gif"

    on one page, and then redirect it to the other page, the pre-loader SHOULD still work, and the browser SHOULD still display the images instantly...shouldn't it?

    Does the script have to be on the same page as the images?

    It needs to be included into the page yes, do you mean keep the image after you click a link? If so you need the same code in the header of the next page.
