Weatherbug has a bug

Has anyone else experienced an anomaly with Weatherbug wherein it opens hundreds -- not figuritively, but literally -- of small pop-up windows that have the word "Weather" at the top, an OK box, and the "X" to close it? I find that if I catch it quickly enough I can just hold down the CTRL-F4 until they all close. If It doesn't close them all within one minute I do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and close weaterbug. Sometimes I have to reset the computer.

Any fix for this? How about a better weather program?

 

weatherbug has spyware...I don't use it!

 

Actually, no it doesn't. Neither AdAware nor Spybot S&D will remove it (or anything else when you install it -- I've checked).

However, it is a resource hog. I suggest Weather Watcher.

 

In spite of it being a resource hog I use Weatherbug and have never had any problems with it.
I will look at weather watcher and see how it does for me

 

when I had it, ad-aware sure did detect it....they may have changed some things about it now!
I use accuweather desktop..it has small ads but not detected as adware!

I had weather bug and had the same thing happen. Now i am like Star and look out the window, Or i just check the weather from my yahoo home page.

Thanks, guys. Took one look at WeatherPulse and Weatherbug is history.

 

Tried WeatherPulse. I'm sticking to Weather Watcher. WeatherPulse has a foot print like 10 times that of WW (12 to 30+ MB vs 1 to 3 MB).
