I put thumb view in my pictures folder and it sometimes shows some thumbs but not all and sometimes shows none.

    How can I fix this?

Is your operating system 98se? If so you could try searching for a registry tweak for "folder views". Sorry I'm XP.

    Mine is XP too, LoL

Before I did many tweaks, thumbs loaded pretty fast

Now it loads some or none of my pics

dunno what tweak did that :(

    OK now we're talkin'. :D

    Backup the registry first.

How to set the folders and make them stick
To make the folder settings stay, there are two methods,

    A) One is to delete the two registry entries (after backing them up).
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU]
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags]

    B) Another is to add the entry "BagMRU Size" and set it to a value greater than 400 that is the default

    Go to:-

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell

    and add a DWORD called

    BagMRU Size

and give it a value of

    000003e8

    Then go to :-

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam

    make a DWORD called

    BagMRU Size

and give it a value of

    000003e8

Don't know if that will fix the problem. See what happens.

Are you getting a THUMBS.DB file in the folder? Maybe you tweaked it so that XP does not create one. That might be doing something....although it shoudn't.

Or vice versa you could get rid of the THUMBS.DB file>>>

In Explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options or open the Folder Options icon in the Control Panel.
Choose the View tab, and turn off the Do not cache thumbnails option.
    Click Ok.

You can also change this setting in the Registry:

    Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced.
Double-click the DisableThumbnailCache value, or go to Edit -> New -> DWORD value to create a new value by that name.
    Enter 1 for its value.
Click Ok and close the Registry Editor when you're done; you'll have to log off and then log back on for this to take effect.
