Need help. Infected with Trojan.zlob and also having major spyware issues.

Can not remove Spyware Quake no matter what. Removed from program files, found but could not fix in Ad-Aware, ran other scans that found and said they fixed but it's still in my toolbar. Found further instructions on removing Spyware Quake on another post, so I'm working on that slowly now.

Have already followed all directions in READ & RUN ME FIRST.

Panda, Ad-Aware, & BitDefender all had things they could not fix. Norton found the virus in C:\windows\system32\regperf.exe Ad-Aware could not fix problem in C:\windows/\system32\guxxa.dll

I can not open Internet Explorer while in normal boot mode. I'm using nearby laptop to post and work simultaneously on both machines.

PC running Windows XP w/ SP2.

Attached are my logs from Bitdefender, Panda, and Hijack this.

Okay, I think that the tips that I got from the directions on removing Spyware Quake and SpyFalcon got it off my system. I did not find any of those files on there with the exception of the SpywareQuake.com folder in the Programs folder. I can open IE now and it seems to be working properly. I keep running Ad-Aware and CCleaner looking for a clean scan off both. Unfortunately, Ad-Aware keeps finding IECache now. Attached is my log from the Spyquake/falcon cleanings..

Also, I tried to follow the directions on READ THIS explicitly. I know that the HJT doesn't really do any good unless I FIX the problems that it finds. Although it doesn't say to do so. So should I?

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.

Uninstall Viewpoint Manager (should have been done in step 0 of the READ ME)

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5f4c3d09-b3b9-4f88-aa82-31332fee1c08} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hp100.tmp (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
    O21 - SSODL: altmannsberger - {210b4043-35ca-4aa0-8796-191f9663dfb3} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vpxnk.dll

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint<--- the whole folder
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vpxnk.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\zlara.dll

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST).

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

Your last log is clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:
