I'm back. I don't know if this is new or residual from my last problem:
    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61266

I haven't really noticed anthing until Norton's Antivirus found Trojan.Dropper but said "Repair Failed".

I started doing every I could think of and eventually came back here.

I've read the "DO NOT POST UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THIS: How to: Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal" post and done everything there, including the safemode instructions.

Trend Micro's Free Online Virus Scan found EXPL_IFRAMEBO.A but said it couldn't fix it.

I've attached my HJT file after the last step and hope someone knows what's going on.

You HJT log does not show any visible problems. What files were Norton and TrendMicro complaining about? Also where were they located?

Make sure you have run Ccleaner in safe mode.

I did run CCleaner in safe mode.

I ran Nortons again to get the information. It's "The compressed file stdio.dll within C:\Program Files\mIRC\nnscript373.exe is infected with the Trojan.Dropper virus." I don't know mIRC well enough to know what this is/does/or when it got there. It looks like it was installed in the original installation. Is there a way to clean this file? What happens to mIRC if I just delete it?

I do not know. I don't use mIRC. But if it is truly infected, do you really want it on your system. It could also be a false positive from Norton. Maybe you need to check with them.

I deleted it and mIRC still works (at least for what I use it for) so I'll just leave the file in the Recycle Bin while I try to find out from either Symantec or mIRC people if they know anything.

    Thanks for your help ,-)
