any one know any free BASIC compilers?

    I dont think BASIC is compiled... Last time I checked and it was a while ago BASIC is just an instruction code that is essentially interpreted in real-time. However , http://www.qbasic.com/ should have links to anything you could want in that area... check it out...

    The best bet is to go with Qbasic. You can download that all over the web. Just search google for Qbasic 7.1 It also comes with a compiler in it so you can compile progrrams.

    Yeah, QuickBASIC is easy and it's free. You'll probably get the "basics" of it in 2 days. ;)
