Please help! I have installed Server 2008 x64 and as soon as I install the motherboard Initial Configuration Tasks stops working.

this is the errors I get

    Description:

I have no idea what it means and I cant find the .exe that opens Initial Configuration Tasks to try and start it again without restarting, I have tried going into msconfig and disabling all start programs to see if that helped, it didn't

Someone please, please, tell me this has happened to you and you have fixed it?.:banghead:banghead

Thanks, Its strange with server 2008 people either have no problems what so ever or get one or two un solveable show stoppers

For the moment I've found two shortcuts, but it still do the same thing :

    C:\Windows\System32\ServerManagerLauncher.exe
    and
    C:\Windows\System32\ServerManager.msc

    No update solve the problem.

I've also install the OS on a virtual PC and it's the same problem. On a virtual machine it install in x86 and not x64 and we don't need to install the motherboard driver's. So I think, maybe the problem is with the installation CD.

I'll look arround for an other version and try it again on a virtual PC.

Old thread revived from the grave. Oh well.

First question, where did you get your copy of server 2008?

On a side note, I haven't ever gotten that issue to come up, and I've installed many copies of server 2008 32/64 bit.
