    Hi there,

I was recently looking at building a new gaming machine. Roughly for around £850-£900 ($1,500).

This machine will be for the latest games, such as DayZ, Battlefield 4+, Call of Duty, but also for recording/steaming game-play.

At the moment I am just looking at CPUs/Motherboards.

There are so many CPUs available, and there are so many websites which contradict each other. I am looking to spend around £100-£200 on the CPU, depending on price/performance ratio.

I have been told many pros and cons about certain CPU chips, but I would just like to have people input.

    Some of my friends recommended:

    AMD FX-8350 4GHz Socket AM3+ 8MB Cache

    Intel Core i7 4820K 3.70GHz Socket 2011 10MB Cache

    Intel Core i7 4771 3.50GHz Socket 1150 8MB Cache

I have been told to look into the 2011 socket CPU/Motherboard as they are the newer type?

Can anyone recommend a good CPU/motherboard for gaming?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated as always.

    Many Thanks, Chris.
