    Hi

Moved your post from Distributed Computing to Drivers as its more apt!

The log is not that informative but the driver likely used is this HERE

But you may wish to let us know the make and model of the PC if it was a pre-build like Dell, HP etc?

or follow this below as written

Drivers are a PITA at times to get right even when you have part information, but the drivers tgell posted should work fine, you will need to reboot at chipset driver stage as other drivers will not be listed if you do not do this step.

Theh once chipset is installed other drivers are ok to install and should be recognised.

Is there a yellow exclamation mark next to your sound device in Device Manager? If yes, then download the Audio driver from the Asus link I posted.

    HI

Glad the sound is working now, could have been as simple as a re-boot or two for the driver to fully install and work as it should, drivers are a weird thing at times.
