BSOD help

Hi cool people at major geeks :wave

I have the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death):cry

i followed Adrynalynes instructions of debugging. I did what i was told tho i got very confused.:confused

Does this mean now that i have run the debugging SW i will no longer get the BSOD?rolleyes

I also dont know how to run the advanced section of the debugging SW

The only thing i did was type this into the debug program:
Symbol search path is: SRV*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols

It gave me what the problem was but did it fix it?

I guess my question is what do i do now?

I would appreciate any help that you can offer

Post the dump file, too.

Make sure you zip it up.

 

Please also post some details of your system, hardware and software.

Also the conditions under which the stop error occurs. Can you make it occur in safe mode (some ATI graphics cards/drivers have been implicated in this)

My system spec is pentinum 4 2.93 GHz,
512 MB Ram,
160 Gig HD.
Radeon 920 128MB Graphics card

I was installing an old version of Alcohol 120% when the BSOD came up and killed my comp. It was working fine up till then.

BSOD did not happen in safe mode

hope the minidumps help, and that i did what you asked correctly

Well uninstall Alcohol in safe mode and go download a current version.
