Internet Services Manager

This is a strange one:

I cannot open any of my properties pages for any of my web sites. When I go to Internet Services Manager and click on the perperty page to change any of the web site values, I get an hour glass and then it closes the internet servies manager without an error or entry in the systems or applications event logs.

I am running 2000 server with SP4.

This probably has something to do with permissions, but what and where would I find the right file to check it out.

I have tried changing the permissions via the intenet services manager and it does allow me to do that. But it does not change the problem.

The only way to change a property value is to delete the web site and re-install the web site via the wizard.
