First of all I can't download MGTools with AV disabled as I once could. I read the warning but browsers block it anyway. I'm still trying to use the machine daily so can't remove AV at this time. Hoping just simple BHO. Thanks in advance.

My machine is laggy and lethargic. When I type as I am here it lags in between letters/words and sometimes cause misspellings. I'm not sure what happened this time since I'm a system builder and very cautious about where I surf and such. I know I have some items running in memory but this seems different than usual. Much slower reaction time to typing tasks and browser windows flicker when transitioning from browser to browser to tab to tab. Just wanted to see if you notice anything in the logs especially roguekiller.

Can't download MGTools but can download HJT and provide logs. A lot of "O's" in that list with missing files.

    Thanks

Yes you can. You just have to tell it to download it anyway and don't allow it to be deleted. I do his all the time on Vista thru Win 8 PCs without a problem.

We need this log to continue especially since the symptoms your are complaining about are more frequently not due to malware. And the logs you have attached thus far do not really show any issues.

    Chaslang,

My apologies. You're correct. The recent browser updates have closed a hole in the browser's security settings. I went to the security tab and unchecked the blocks for "reported attack sites and web forgeries" and all is well with the download- see attached. It would have been nice to list that in the changelog. I am already cautious about my surfing destinations and limit them accordingly so didn't need the checkboxes.

I will warn you that I run Teamviewer in memory so I can remote in daily and I do load the crazy "Sidebar" widget as well. Machine ran smoothly with it from the beginning so I kept it.

I hate to bother you with this, but it's getting worse and I've run Memtest to check RAM, I regularly use CCleaner, JRT, Revo, AdwCleaner, MWB, and recently check my SSD health. I'm really good at keeping old machines tuned and running smooth with limited Startup items and Systray crap.

    Thanks in advance

Well it does not appear to be a malware issue. May just be due to what you are running and also I have seen Vista get like this.

Two items that you may want to check on how they are impacting you are the below:
    • AVG2015
    • SOS Online Backup
I also do see a lot of temp files like below that typically indicate problems in Windows or other programs that are running:
    Code:
    ----a-w 466 2015-02-26 20:50:47 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER10B7.tmp.version.txt
    ----a-w 48,522,376 2015-02-26 20:50:49 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER10B8.tmp.hdmp
    ----a-w 466 2015-03-03 16:09:07 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER14E7.tmp.version.txt
    ----a-w 60,378,037 2015-03-03 16:09:10 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER14F8.tmp.hdmp
    ----a-w 466 2015-01-14 08:25:21 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER2564.tmp.version.txt
    ----a-w 0 2015-01-14 08:25:21 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER2575.tmp.hdmp
    ----a-w 466 2015-01-28 23:30:44 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER284D.tmp.version.txt
    ----a-w 0 2015-01-28 23:30:44 C:\Windows\TEMP\WER285E.tmp.hdmp

Glad to hear it's not a Malware issue. I know AVG 2015 is "growing" in size with each update and probably creating more lag. SOS is a really good backup tool but has had some recent updates and probably has some "code bloat" as well. I'll monitor these and see how they do and will get the temp files cleaned again as well.

I am familiar with the cleanup process for closing a post so I'll begin that. Thanks again Chaslang as always you and the others here have been a great help.

I have a friend that just left me two machines that she uses for college and has graduation coming up. I gave her a loaner.
I'll post logs for them and see what is there after I give them a cleaning. She almost missed an important online exam because of her malware issues so I'm trying to help her. Just want a second look on those logs.
