bsod?

    splitt3r You are now the victim of a drive by title change

    Recently my computer has been having some wierd problems. the other day all my games would crash right after I opened them, then I restarted and got a bsod that said some gibberish about corrupted files and it fixed the problem but apparently it happened again when my dad was on, any ideas what the problem is? I think my hdd might be dieing, it is 4 years old, here are my specs.


    1.6ghz p4
    80gb seagate 5400 rpm hd
    512mb pc2100 ram
    nvidia 5200fx 128mb
    win XP home
    computer model=hp pavillion 750n

    Have you checked your event log to see what specific errors and warnings your system is generating?

    Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer (System & Applications) This should help you narrow down the cause by checking the properties on any warnings/errors.
