    Hi there,

I have been experiencing problems with Word on my office computer, I am running office 2003 and I have accidentally clicked something. Now whenever I try loading up a new document I am faced with this screen as shown.

I.T. have re-installed office but no luck, I have also renamed normal.dot as suggested on other forums but again I am still faced with the grid shown over the template.

Can anybody tell me what I have clicked and how I undo what I have done?

    Many thanks

It looks like the drawing grid has been turned on, see if the steps below help.

Thank you very much Steve, that worked a treat.

Do you also know how I can get rid of this box?, then my template should be back to normal.

    Much appreciated :major

I figured it would go also. Try clicking on the top left or bottom right corners and see if it removes it.

I've tried clicking but unfortunately there doesnt appear to be anything I can click on or even click to get a drop down menu :(

On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and then click the Page Border tab. Under Setting, click None.

I am guessing on this. ;)

We were doing so well. :D

Try selecting the Border, you should be able to "highlight" it or select it (black area) someway.

Then on the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and then click the Borders tab. Under Setting, click None.

I don't want to mess your current settings up, if this doesn't work wait a little and see if someone with a little more Word experience can help.
