I have a question about how the malware support forum works

I thought I posted this question this afternoon, but I can't find it now.

Anyway, here's my problem; a couple of weeks ago, I posted in the malware forum about a problem I was having getting on the internet from my laptop.
Based on the advice I got, I called our internet provider and they seemed to fix it and I reported that on my thread in the malware forum.

Well, now the problem's back, so I'm thinking it's malware ofter all. So I posted an update on the same thread.
There's been no response yet, so I'm beginning to worry that maybe no one will look at my thread now, thinking it has been resolved. After a problem has been seemingly resolved, do your moderators still get some kind of notification of additional posts to a thread?
Should I re-post it under a brand new thread? Or will that just confuse things? Or should I just be patient, and someone will answer me eventually?
