Printers keep multiplying.

Just upgraded to XP from ME on my network host computer. I am still having some problems trying to get my network up and going (all three clients are 98SE). But it seems something about all the back and forth checking to see if I can see the other computers and their shared files, is going crazy. Every time I check the clients they show more printers, one is up to 52 printers the other one has 16 - the irony is that the only printer I have, an HP LaserJet 4P, is on the host. I can't find any way to clear them out - I don't want to do away with the files, just all these printers.
