    Is there a there a registry tweak or any tweak that can disable hiding the icons on the desktop?

    Someone here keeps ticking the "show desktop option" and it's annoying to fix it always :(

    That's used to get to the desktop when another opened app has full screen focus and you need to open another app or get to a file that's on the desktop.

    If desktop icons aren't showing, right click an open area of the desktop, select view and tick show desktop icons.

    @mdonah

    Is there a permanent option like disabling that option to hide the desktop icon?

    There's none that I know of. Does someone so value privacy that he/she doesn't want anyone knowing what apps they're running?

    Do you have several people using the same account?
    If you set it the way you want it and save the theme then log out of your account, another user won't have the same desktop setup and won't be able to modify your settings unless he/she knows the password and logs in as you.
