Why is a DVI cable thicker than an analog cable:confused:

For one, there are more connections with a DVI cable, but most ones I've seen are roughly the same size as a 15-pin D-Sub.

As Wyatt said more connection wires and most likely better shielding, also it will depend on brand/quality... the ones we have in work are only use a little larger than the analogue connectors.
