Anyone playing this? I'm having fun with it, it's a challenge even on the easy setting.

Love the game, finished it several times. The multi player is pretty good too.

Just need to reinstall XP on my machine so that I can play it again.

I haven't even tried the multiplayer yet. I'm still stumbling around the first area. I made the mistake of trying to hunt down Strelok right at the beginning and ended up getting in way over my head. Had to revert to an old save and pace myself.

Got any tips for me? I haven't found much online about this game, which is surprising.

I started on normal, and it's pretty hard until you get (semi)automatic weaponry. Don't be disappointed when you get to the end, though, because there are seven different endings, five of which are doing one quest and two doing another. I got three of the endings after making a save right before I made my decision which quest to pursue.

As for tips, always use iron sights (zoom) when possible. When you get a decent machine gun, get rid of pistols because they quickly become worthless. I ended up carrying a machine gun and shotgun for different situations, and plenty of ammo for each. Always have a couple pieces of food ready for when you get hungry, and plenty of bandages because you'll find you'll be needing a lot. Look in every stash because you might find useful equipment. I don't recommend using artifacts with "- radiation" unless you have others to compensate (you'll find way better others anyway). Money is worth next to nothing.
Oh, and if you're ever ordered to kill someone in Bar, don't do it until you think you can take on half the population of Bar.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I thought the artifacts were weird, they seem to do more harm than good. Also, weird that i had so much money so early in the game and can't find anything worth buying that I hadn't looted already.

The only thing I don't like about the game so far is there is no support for controllers. I don't like using the kb and mouse and I am having trouble configuring my controller because I don't have near enough buttons. I found a different keyboard emulator that i think will work better, I hope. I'm about to download it.

As ShockTroop mentioned above, the artifacts can come in handy. You just need to be able to compensate the negative(s) of one with the positive(s) of others. Store them in a common (read: place where you can remember storing them) location until you find ones that you can do this with.

& buy things like ammo, food, bandages & hypodermics with your money. You'll need MANY of these throughout the game, & again like he said, money means practically nothing in the game (except for a really bad ending sequence, which I had to suffer through to learn my lesson.)
