I recently have been infected with a Trojan style virus. Whenever I boot up my computer in Normal mode or Safe Mode I can not do anything. My wallpaper is there, but I cannot: Right-Click desktop, open Task Manager, or see my toolbar. When I try to open the Task Manager I get a message saying the administrator has locked out that feature. The same thing goes for safe mode.

I made a BART PE boot disk with the lastest McAfee Virus Scan tool off it. The tool found many viruses and removed them. I have run the scan multiple times and have found viruses but now when I run it I don't find any.

What should I do so I can boot my computer?

I know you get a post a minute about viruses and I thank you for your help.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but we cannot help you if you cannot at least bootup, login and then run programs especially if Task Manager is also disable. And when you add to it safe mode does not work either.....well it just leaves us with only one or two options.

    1) You can post in the Software Forum and try to do a Repair if you have your CD.

    2) You need to reinstall and again you will need your CD or a factory recovery CD or partition
