White Screen

A while ago, my laptop started exhibiting a completely white screen the second I turned it on, and it would just stay the way. Never booting, never even getting to another screen. I've tried pressing all of the buttons hundreds of times, and getting to any kind of safe mode is impossible.

I'm assuming that this is some sort of hardware failure, but am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and would know about how much it would cost to fix.

 

its probably the backlight/ backlight controller in your laptop
i dont noe how much itd cost.. call your manufacturer for that

 

Zulu-1 is probably right. Have you tried plugging an external monitor into your laptop? Have you bumped your laptop lately. Might be a loose connection, although I doubt it. Is your laptop still under warranty? How confident do you feel disassembling your laptop? No matter what problem a laptop has, it is usually expensive to fix due to all the OEM stuff fitted.
