Invalid PC Mode

hi there

I was wondering if anyone out there can help me,
i am trying to set up a 2nd Monitor on my other Computer, but the monitor only shows a Blue Screen with a flashing Red box with the message "Invalid PC Mode H:60KHZ V:10HZ".

is there anyway possible to have this monitor working as a 2nd?
I have tried other monitors, & they have no problems at all.

the Monitor is only a Dell 6036U.

your monitor cannot handle the low refresh rate that your computer puts out. boot in safe mode, go into display properties and change your resolution to whatever you are using in normal mode, then change the refresh rate to 75hz and you should be able to boot in normal mode.

If all fails hook up one of the monitors that works, start in normal mode, change refresh rate to 75hz, shut down, change monitor and boot up.
