Help!

I've actually been a member for several years, but rarely have to use the forum. Any program that I've downloaded from Major I have had little, to no, trouble from that program.
My problem is my browser. It takes forever to load, then my AOL account is slow, or takes so long, I end up closing the page. I'm using Opera right now for my browser. Before that I had Maxthon, & Google. Both did the same thing with my AOL pages. So my question is, is this problem from AOL, or is it something with my laptop? I have Windows 7 OS, & it's 64-bit. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, before I tear my hair out!:-D
I almost forgot, but about 2 weeks ago, I had had so much trouble that I did a reformat of my hard drive, & reinstalled the Windows 7 program. So I shouldn't have a lot of junk on my hard drive.
