Hi, it's been a while since I've posted anything here... :-o

I've got an infuriating problem with my work laptop running Windows 7 Enterprise. My work is pretty liberal with us employees, so we're given free reign to do what we like with our laptops. However, the last couple of days I've not been able to install anything; I keep getting a message saying I don't have administrator rights. As far as I'm aware my normal log-in is an administrator account; it's in the group "administrators" and I've never had problems installing in the past. Right-clicking on a program and running as administrator doesn't work.

Is there a way to tell if my log-in has full admin rights?

I'm pretty sure UAC is already turned off, but I can't check as clicking 'Change User Account Control settings' under User Accounts doesn't do anything, nothing opens.

Do you mean just change the password for my log-in? There's only one account listed in User Accounts, which is the one I use. I'll give changing the password for that a go.

    Thanks!
