Printer problem

I have an old Epson stylus color 400 that with a new ink cartridge it won't let a trace of ink out. Any ideas? I seems like it is working with the computor fine.

 

don't get mad when I say this but, did you remove the tape that covers the ink ctg nozzle?

 

yea, i wish it was that simple. Already checked that.

 

Clogged print heads? I've had this problem with a stylus 400, 600 and 800


Thats why I like HP. The print head is built into the cartridge.

try that, it's the head cleaning solution. If that still does't work then I would suggest a new printer. Printheads for your model are running $50-$60, a new c serires can be had for $100
