As the topic states, hello! I've been on this forum for along time so it appears; when i was just a youthful high school student. I'm sure most don't remember me, I was here usually for information and The lounge (show me your desktop! thats what was up. Its good to see so many familiar names still helping out! I've neglected my account for many years now but you guys have stuck it out. :major

David, isn't that the truth! As much as I love tinkering with computers and the likes, time just isn't as abundant as it used to be...work, girls, cars they all eat up time!
I gave it the good old college try and decided after two years it wasn't for me- at least for now; I got a job at a body shop here in Madison WI, which has given me a chance to start a career as an estimator. It's a crazy amount of work that goes into fixing even the smallest fender benders but I'm kind of hooked right now. I guess I'm just seeing where that takes me for now. Thanks for asking!

Yeah its pretty tedious though, every nut & bolt has to be accounted for. Who would think to replace a bumper you might have to: take the inner trunk trim off, RT & LT tail lamps out, but you have to take half the interior out to do. All of which pays time and time is not cheap. Ask too much, you're in trouble with Mr.Insurance ask too little and you just screwed the guy working on the vehicle. He's not hourly, he's flat rate which is just paper hrs. so if I get 2hrs on a dent on the quarter panel, and it takes him 6... hes upside down.

Good to hear! When you're busy at work; it makes time fly. Sounds mind boggling, and I'm a little embarrassed. I'm not even sure what you do! I'm going to have to check google. Oh yes, it all comes down to the mighty dollar, you got to be fair with your business partners and your self. We don't work for free after all!
