can i reset somewhere?

I have a Compaq armada 1750 that has completely frozen up on me right from the get go. Is there any way to reset the laptop, or even just start over fresh ?

 

get the battery out of the mobo for one minute.

that should reset all the settings of your mobo and you can begin again.

 

Pulling the bios batt could be a project in itself if you don't know how to get at it.
More info needed !!! Is it freezing as in "while booting Windows", or just "black screen with blinking cursor" on powerup?
If you can enter "setup" at turn on, try loading default or fail safe values. If it's locking while loading Windows, try booting to safe mode, then troubleshoot from there.

Why did you post this in cooling and modding? Cuz it's freezing (as in cooling) LOL LOL
