   hello guys,,i guess this might be an old topic....i have xp in my machine and my DVD rom does not run..any help will be really appreciated.....

   I was having a problem with Media Center/XP not recognizing my SD-612, although it was seen in the bios. I first installed the adaptec aspi, then followed the steps on:

   (method 1)
   
   And it is now recognized and reads cd's and dvd's fine.
