Cannot execute programs in WIN2000....HELP!

Hi everyone, first let me say I am impressed already. This is really a great community. Now, I need help of my own.

My problem is that when I start Windows 2000 in normal mode I cannot run any programs. When I click a shortcut, or item on the start menu i get a windows error box and the application shuts itself down. However, once I am in safe mode, I can access everything like normal.

I have run through ALL of the steps on the "Do this first" file...and am sadly still experienceing the problem. I have removed numerous spyware and adware found by the scanners. And have also been able to remove a few viruses.

Whats going on here. I really need the help. I am getting super frustrated! ?

If I am going to attach a HiJack This file, I will have to generate it in Safe Mode.

 

attached is my Hijack This log. The problem still exits. Windows boots up fine, but when I try and run any program I get a "Program Error" box. Its says: This program cannot run and log file has been created.

I feel like there is something lingering somewhere....is this fixable?
