email link .swf file won't open

    XPsp2, IE7. Have flash player 9 installed, but not shockwave player. Checked security settings, nothing amiss or locked down. Won't open from OE or web mail. It's a Christmas card type link.

    Clicking the link opens a new IE window, but no content is displayed.
