OEx still an archaic pain

OEx is becoming rapidly a pain to try and use.
i can log onto OEx, after not usiing it for several hours, send and receive a few messages, or maybe none, and it shuts down
Researched errors, made suggested changes to settings. Nothing has changed.
When it shuts down, or terminates connection, I must exit, then reboot my computer to reestablish connection.
Microsoft, according to some information I found, has abandoned users, and no longer supports it.
When it works, it is simple to use, and convenient. When it works is the key phrase

Well, not at all to my surprise, OEx has once again failed to connect. Same error codes
Chased down troubleshooting, but those solved nothing.
Once again I will have to reboot to get OEx up and running
