About Wifi

I my laptop is neo gl31, model is empriva 531cvs, Its OS is vista starter and i have reformat it to windows xp. the problem now is that my wireless doesnt work anymore. its states that there is no wireless adapter. it cannot detect my wifi even if i have switch on the switch.

help please...

 

you probably have to reinstall your drivers

 

Is there a way that i can download driver online?? are installer for wifi vista and xp not the same??

No drivers from one os to another aren't the same.

 

So my problem is that I have change my OS which is vista to XP.. will i be needing another wifi driver?

 

yes, you need either go back to vista, which the machine was designed for, or hope you get lucky and find drivers for xp.

 

Does Device Manager or your handbook tell us the make of the wifi card?

I think it's an Intel 3945 minipci card.

I haven't the time tonight but look for these drivers.

Because since yesterday I have exactly the same problem.

yes the wlan card is intel 3945 ABG (10.1.0.15) for the gl31
