    When i completely close AIM, a message comes up saying that an error has occured in kernel.dll. what does that mean??

    AIM is not shutting down properly. Is it working okay?

    Can't tell you exactly what that error is reporting. Obviously scan and repair the hard drive for errors, run an updated full virus scan, etc.

    After all that, my first move would be to copy my buddy list, uninstall and reinstall AIM. Which is alot easier than it sounds.
